Image Group LA/ABCGreen Day, Metallica and Kings of Leon are all nominated for the 2017 NME Awards. The British publication put all three up for the title of Best International Band, along with Tame Impala, A Tribe Called Quest and Tegan and Sara.

As for the Best British Band category, The 1975, Bastille, Wolf Alice and The Last Shadow Puppets are among the nominees.

Other NME Awards nominees include Radiohead, Coldplay and Foals for Best Festival Headliner, The 1975, Bastille, Wolf Alice and Bring Me the Horizon for Best Live Band, and the late David Bowie for Hero of the Year.
