In recent years, we've seen bands re-releasing their catalogs on vinyl, but Green Day's catalog is coming to -- wait for it -- cassette.
The band is releasing a new box set featuring cassette versions of each one of their full-length studio albums, from 1990's 39/Smooth to this year's Revolution Radio.
Don't have anything to play the cassettes on? Don't worry, the band has you covered. The box set comes complete with a Green Day-branded boombox. The idea is an offshoot of the artwork for Revolution Radio, which features a photo of an old-school boombox on fire.
The whole collection will set you back $249.99, and it will be released December 9. You can pre-order it now via Green Day's web store.
Green Day will be touring North America next year in support of Revolution Radio, starting March 1 in Phoenix, Arizona.
