Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong Helps Spread Word of Missing Dog

Image Courtesy of Felisha Tolentino/Reprise RecordsWhen Bay Area man David Baker's dog, Mochi, was stolen, he went to social media to raise awareness of the theft. Baker's posts went viral, and Billie Joe Armstrong was among the many to help spread the word.

The Green Day frontman -- and new Rock and Roll Hall of fame member -- saw the post from former professional skateboarder and co-founder of punk label Adeline Records Jim Thiebaud and reposted it to his 436,000 Instagram followers.

"Skateboarders can do anything - let's help @DavidBaker & @Cassniki bring their stolen dog Mochi home," the post read.

A day after Armstrong made the post, Mochi was found and returned.

"It's crazy to see how far the word can spread and how much people want to help," Baker tells ABC San Jose affiliate KGO-TV.
