Gwen Stefani's resume already includes music and acting, as well as her own clothing line and line of perfumes and colognes -- and starting in 2016, she'll be adding an eyewear collection to that list.
Stefani has signed a multi-year deal with Tura to introduce a new line of sunglasses and optical eyewear for her LA.M.B. and GX by Gwen Stefani brands.
"Isn't it wierd? the 45-year-old No Doubt co-founder tells Women's Wear Daily. “It’s something that I’ve wanted to do forever," Tura came along and [was] the right fit. I feel really good about it."
Adds Stefani, "We went through and did the edit of the first collection and it was really hard because there were so many good [styles] -- I literally had a sore face from trying so many glasses on.”
The line, which debuts in early 2016, include 12 ophthalmic styles and 12 sunwear styles for each brand. Both collections draw inspiration from Stefani’s signature style.
“I have a huge collection of glasses -- probably five drawers -- and I got all of my favorites out,” notes Stefani.
Stefani joins Tura’s existing roster, which includes Ted Baker, Lulu Guinness and Geoffrey Beene.
