Imagine Dragons surprised their hometown with an unexpected show on the streets of Las Vegas Saturday. As part of the Crackle original concert series "Playing it Forward," the band performed in front of an unsuspecting crowd at Bellagio Resort & Casino. They delivered their new single, "I Bet My Life," as well as fan favorites "Radioactive" and "It's Time," from their first album.
"Playing it Forward," which is produced by actor Robert Downey Jr.'s entertainment company, Team Downey, is a documentary-style series that showcases bands playing unplanned street performances. For every episode, Crackle donates $10,000 to a charity of the artist's choice. The Imagine Dragons episode will benefit four Las Vegas schools: Valley High School, Sunrise High School, Bailey Middle School, and Bonanza High School, the latter of which is frontman Dan Reynolds' Alma mater.
"I will never forget Mrs. Thompson, my music teacher at R. Guild Gray Elementary School here in Vegas, who took the time to help me individually -- or Mr. Roberts at Kenny Guinn Middle School," says Reynolds in a statement. "Our band wouldn't exist if it weren't for skilled, patient music teachers, and every kid deserves that chance."
The Imagine Dragons "Playing it Forward" episode will be available on Crackle November 21.
