The Super Bowl means a game between two football teams, sure, but it also means a bevy of pre-Super Bowl music events. One of those is the DirecTV Super Fan Festival, which will be headlined by Imagine Dragons on Friday. The festival takes place at the Pendergast Family Farm, which is across from the University of Phoenix Stadium -- the site of Super Bowl 49.
Joining Imagine Dragons at the festival will be Young the Giant, American Authors and rapper Snoop Dogg.
Imagine Dragons' headlining spot at the DirecTV Super Fan Festival is one of only a handful dates currently scheduled for the band, including an appearance at the BottleRock Festival in Napa, California, plus intimate shows in Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Utah, Las Vegas and Atlanta as part of their Destination Dragons promotion with Southwest Airlines.
Fall Out Boy will also be taking part in the Super Bowl festivities, as the band will be playing the Super Bowl Blitz: A Concert for the Troops alongside pop star Charlie XCX. That show will air on VH1 Friday at 9 p.m. ET.
Super Bowl 49 will take place February 1. Lenny Kravitz will join pop star Katy Perry during the game's halftime show.
