Imagine Dragons Reaches Number Two on “Billboard’s” Artist 100

Following the news that Smoke + Mirrors debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, Imagine Dragons has grabbed the number two spot on the publication's Artist 100 chart.

Billboard's Artist 100 chart "blends data measuring album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity." Imagine Dragons leaped from number 22 last week to grab the number two spot on this week's Artist 100 ranking. The band's previous peak on the chart was at number 14.

Smoke + Mirrors did 172,000 in traditional album sales, which certainly helped Imagine Dragons' Artist 100 ranking. The band also got a boost from the 10,000 units that their first album, 2012's Night Visions, sold in the past week.

Imagine Dragons will embark on a 39-city tour in support of Smoke + Mirrors beginning in June.
