Is Tenacious D collaborating with Jack White?

ABC/Randy HolmesIs the dream of Jack Grey finally becoming a reality? It appears so: Jack White and Jack Black are reportedly collaborating.

According to the Tennessean, Black revealed the news during a show in Nashville over the weekend with Tenacious D, his comedy-rock duo with Kyle Gass.

"We went over to [White's] house today and recorded a brand new song," Black apparently told the crowd, adding that the track would be released via the White Stripes frontman's Third Man Records label.

The Jacks Black and White previously ran to each other while both Tenacious D and The Raconteurs were touring Europe earlier this year. The D posted a photo of themselves alongside White with the caption, "We hired a new merch guy."

Tenacious D's been touring in support of the duo's new album Post-Apocalypto, while White and The Raconteurs have been on the road behind their comeback record, Help Us Stranger.
