Credit: Daniel SilbertJack Antonoff is following in the footsteps of Perry Farrell by creating his own music festival. The Bleachers frontman and fun. guitarist has founded Shadow of the City, a new music festival which will be held in New Jersey.
"I believe in music festivals deeply," Antonoff says in a statement. "In a time when everyone is so uncertain of how people should buy, stream and find their music, live music feels more important than ever. I've spent almost my entire life in New Jersey and there is a hope and anthemic quality that is in the music born there that comes directly from being in the shadows of one of the greatest cities in the world."
Bleachers will headline the inaugural Shadow of the City, which will take place September 19 at The Stone Pony SummerStage in Asbury Park, New Jersey. The lineup, curated by Antonoff, also features MisterWives, Robert DeLong and Bleachers' current touring partner, pop star Charli XCX.
