Jack White has announced a pair of in-store signings and readings to celebrate the release of his new children's book We're Going to Be Friends, based on The White Stripes song of the same name.
The events will take place November 4 at Barnes & Noble at The Grove in Los Angeles, and November 11 at the B&N at Broadway and 82nd Street in New York City.
The book's illustrator, Elinor Blake, who's worked on The Ren and Stimpy Show and Pee Wee's Playhouse, will also participate in the signings.
The song "We're Going to Be Friends" appears on The White Stripes' 2001 album White Blood Cells. Jack and Meg White performed the track on Conan O'Brien's final episode hosting NBC's Late Night. To help celebrate the new book, O'Brien shared his remembrances of the "We're Going to Be Friends" performance in a new animated video, streaming now on YouTube.
The We're Going to Be Friends book will be available everywhere on November 21.
