Jack White Covers Band Mate Dean Fertita’s “Parallel”

Image Courtesy of Third Man RecordsJack White has released a cover of band mate Dean Fertita's 2009 song, "Parallel." The track appears as the b-side to White's new "Would You Fight for My Love?" single. You can purchase White's latest single, along with his bluegrass rendition of "Parallel," on iTunes.

Fertita, who plays keyboards and guitar in Queens of the Stone Age, is a member of The Dead Weather, alongside White, The Kills' Alison Mosshart and The Raconteurs' Jack Lawrence. The Dead Weather also have a new single out, featuring the track "Buzzkill(er)."

Last month, Fertita joined White's touring band as a keyboardist following the death of Isaiah "Ikey" Owens, who died ofa heart attack October 14.

White will hit the road for a short tour starting with a two-night stand in Austin, Texas on January 24 and 25. The only other current dates on the tour include stops in Nashville, Tennessee and New York City's Madison Square Garden on January 28 and 30, respectively.
