Other artists to perform at Acoustic-4-a-Cure include Alice in Chains' Jerry Cantrell, guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith. 4 Non Blondes' Linda Perry and Pat Monahan of the pop group Train will also make appearances at the event.

Each artist will perform acoustic sets, which the Acoustic-4-a-Cure website promises will include "once-in-a-lifetime musical moments, duets, jams and surprise guests."

Hetfield and Hagar founded Acoustic-4-a-Cure in order to raise funds for and awareness of the Pediatric Cancer Program at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital. The two founders also performed at 2014's inaugural event, as did Satriani and Monahan. Last year's concert also featured Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong, Heart's Nancy Wilson and British singer-songwriter Scott Matthews.
