“Jeopardy!” contestant commits sin, causes tragedy by confusing Panic! at the Disco and Fall Out Boy

ABC/Fred LeeA contestant on Jeopardy! this week made the same mistake that countless parents of mid-2000s emo kids probably made: He confused Panic! at the Disco and Fall Out Boy.

The mix-up happened thanks to a $400 clue in a category titled "We Will Rock You." The clue read, "In 2018, this band 'Didn't have a dime but I always had a vision, always had high, high hopes,'" referring to, of course, a lyric from the Panic! hit "High Hopes."

However, when contestant James Holzhauer buzzed in, he offered "Who is Fall Out Boy?"

Panic! tweeted out a video of the faux pas, along with the caption, "Hey look ma, we...made it?!?," a reference to the Pray for the Wicked tune "Hey Look Ma, I Made It."

Fall Out Boy then retweeted the video and wrote, "I'll take 'you'll get 'em next time, James' for $500, Alex."

Despite his mix-up, Holzhauer is probably still feeling pretty good. The record-breaking contestant just passed the $1 million mark in prize money, and sits only behind Jeopardy! legend Ken Jennings in career winnings.
