"We also represent something now, and there's an added importance that always was looming and showed its face: Music is important. It's important, it's important," Homme says in the clip.

Homme was not playing with Eagles of Death Metal when their show at the Bataclan concert hall in Paris was attacked by terrorists the night of November 13, 2015, but he joined the band when they returned to the French capital in February 2016.

Speaking with Billboard, Homme says playing at the return show was "a chance to explain who I am to the people I care about -- to the fans that survived, to the ones that did not make it who came to see Eagles because they came to see Queens [of the Stone Age] first. Where words fail to express, a single action says it all."

Also in the Billboard interview, EODM frontman Jesse Hughes says "Kiss the Devil," the song the band was playing at the time of the attack, will eventually return to their setlist. However, he adds that "if playing it would make one of my friends who was there even a second uncomfortable, then it wouldn't be worth it to me."

Eagles of Death Metal: Nos Amis (Our Friends) premieres February 13 on HBO.
