BMGYeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O and producer Danger Mouse are launching a "multisensory art installation" in Los Angeles in support of their forthcoming collaborative album, Lux Prima.
The exhibition, titled "An Encounter with Lux Prima," will be open April 18-21 at L.A.'s Marciano Art Foundation. A press release describes it an "immersive, communal listening experience" accompanied by "groundbreaking audiovisual technologies."
"Karen and I had been plotting on working together for a long time," says Danger Mouse. "With no discussions on what the music would eventually sound like, we jumped in. We were each other's audience alone, really, but soon we started to see this world instead of just hearing it. So let's see if others can hear and see it together too."
"The music was calling out for an extraordinary presentation, one that brings people together in a heightened state of listening," adds O. "It's gonna be a trip!"

Lux Prima will be released March 15.
