The Detroit rocker has added two more shows at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkson, Michigan on August 21 and 22, which, according to a press release, will earn Rock the record for most ticket sales in the state of Michigan.

Over the 10 scheduled shows at DTE Energy, Rock is expected to sell more than 145,000 tickets, easily beating the previous record of approximately 107,000 tickets, which was set by country star Garth Brooks.  With the newly added dates at the amphitheater this summer Rock also breaks the record for the most shows played at the venue. That record was previously held by classic rocker Bob Seger.

The record-breaking Michigan shows will be held in the middle of Rock's massive summer tour in support of his latest album, First Kiss. The tour begins June 24 in Hartford, Connecticut and runs all the way through September 5 in Auburn, Washington. Tickets start at just $20.
