Calling all Nirvana super-fans: the Los Angeles apartment that Kurt Cobain shared with Courtney Love from 1991 to 1992 is available to rent on Airbnb, an online rental marketplace.
Current tenant Brandon Kleinman has been renting out the apartment to Nirvana fans for the last couple of years.
"I had one person from Germany who was visiting every place Kurt stayed in L.A.," Kleinman tells Vulture. "I've had a couple young college students from Europe. I've had a couple of American people who want to post up and experience the place."
Cobain and Love shared the apartment while Love was pregnant with their daughter, Frances Bean Cobain. Kleinman says that he was told that the bathtub in the apartment is where Cobain wrote the In Utero classic "Heart Shaped Box."
"Once every 60 days or so, I'll get a weird, older gentleman, a rocker-type dude, sort of a burnout, knocking on the door, saying, 'Do you know what used to happen here?'" he says.
As for other intimate portrayals of Cobain and Love's home life, the first fully-authorized documentary about the Nirvana frontman, Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck, will be released for a limited theatrical run in the U.S. on April 24. The film will air on HBO on May 4.
