“Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck” to Be Released on Blu-ray/DVD This Fall

Image Courtesy of The End of Music, LLC/HBOKurt Cobain: Montage of Heck premieres tonight on HBO, but if you miss it, don't worry -- the film will be released on Blu-ray and DVD in North America this fall.  The physical release of Montage of Heck will include bonus content in addition to the heap of previously unreleased recordings, artwork and home movies featured in the film.

In addition to the Blu-ray/DVD release, an album made up of Kurt Cobain's personal demos will be released in the summer.  Director Brett Morgen told Bedford + Bowery that the album "will feel like you're kind of hanging out with Kurt Cobain on a hot summer day in Olympia, Washington, as he fiddles about. It's going to really surprise people."

Tomorrow, a companion Montage of Heck book will be released, featuring rare photos and extended transcripts from the interviews Morgen conducted for the film.

Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck airs tonight at 9 p.m. ET.
