The End of Music, LLC/Courtesy of HBOAmong the many unreleased demos that were used to score Montage of Heck is a recording of Kurt Cobain covering The Beatles' "And I Love Her." Now, it appears that Cobain's take on "And I Love Her," as well as a recording of the Nirvana rarity "Sappy," will be released as a seven-inch single. According to New England record store Bull Moose's website, the single will be released on November 20, and is available fro pre-order now.
Montage of Heck director Brett Morgen confirmed the release on his Twitter, saying, "There will be a limited run so I'd pre-order from your local vinyl store if interested."
Before the "And I Love Her" single hits record stores, a full album of Cobain demos from Montage of Heck will be released on November 6, the same day the film will be released on Blu-ray and DVD.
Montage of Heck, which premiered on HBO, is the first fully authorized documentary on Cobain. The film earned seven nominations at this year's Emmy Awards.
