ABC/Randy HolmesOne of the many highlights of last week's star-packed tribute concert to the late Chris Cornell was pop star Miley Cyrus' rendition of the Temple of the Dog song "Say Hello 2 Heaven." One of the many people impressed by the performance was Metallica's Lars Ulrich.
On his Instagram, the drummer posted a photo of himself and Cyrus together backstage at the show. In the caption, he wrote, "Miley, still stunned by your next level version of 'Say Hello 2 Heaven' for Chris! Beyond inspiring."
Metallica also performed at the concert -- they played their songs "For Whom the Bell Tolls" and "Master of Puppets," and covered Soundgarden's "All Your Lies" and "Head Injury."
In other Metallica happenings, the band has shared a new rehearsal video, which features a cover of Judas Priest's "Delivering the Goods" with Ulrich on lead vocals. You can watch it now on YouTube.
