This past Sunday, May 24, marked the five-year anniversary of Paul Gray's death. In honor of the late Slipknot bassist and founding member, the Des Moines Social Club will stage an art installation called Two Minutes Wasn't Long Enough. The installation will include memorabilia from Gray's personal collection, including guitars, masks, costumes and photographs.
At the installation, you will also be able to purchase a photo book, also called Two Minutes Wasn't Long Enough, commemorating Gray's life. The title refers to the two minutes of silence Slipknot observed during a show following Gray's passing. Along with photos of Gray's professional and personal life, the book, which will be released on June 19, features messages written by fans.
Proceeds from the Two Minutes Wasn't Long Enough book will benefit Gray's daughter, October, who was born after his death. Gray died May 24, 2010 of accidental drug overdose.
The Two Minutes Wasn't Long Enough art installation will be open at the Des Moines Social Club in Des Moines, Iowa -- Slipknot's hometown -- from June 19-20. Visit ForeverSic.com for more information.
