Liam Gallagher’s Band, Beady Eye, Breaks Up

Steve GullickLiam Gallagher announced on Twitter this past Saturday that his band, Beady Eye, has broken up.

"Beady Eye are no longer," Gallagher tweeted, adding, "Thanks for all your support. LGx"

His band mate Andy Bell later commented, "Thanks to all the Beady Eye fans. I had a blast. See you on the other side. Big Love."

The band parted ways with its manager Scott Rodger earlier this year.

Liam formed Beady Eye with his Oasis band mates Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Chris Sharrock in 2009, after a well-publicized spat between Liam and his brother, Noel Gallagher, ended that group. Beady Eye released two albums: 2011's Different Gear, Still Speeding and 2013's BE.

Noel formed Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds in the wake of Oasis and released their self-titled debut album in 2011.  The follow up, Chasing Yesterday, is due out March 2, 2015.
