Lionel Richie's biggest album is called Can't Slow Down, but he's finally found something that has slowed him down: knee surgery. The singer had to have his knee operated on, and that's forcing him to postpone his planned tour with Mariah Carey.
“When you have been performing as long as I have it takes a toll on your body," said Lionel in a statement. "Unfortunately my recovery from a knee procedure will not have me 100% ready to start the tour next month. I don’t want to disappoint my fans and I look forward to being back on stage so we can all be ‘Dancing on the Ceiling’ together again.”
The tour will now be rescheduled for the summer, with new dates to be announced soon. All tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates. The original tour was supposed to start March 15 in Baltimore and run through May 27, wrapping up in Sunrise, Florida.
