ABC/Randy HolmesThe Lumineers frontman Wesley Schultz has released a cover of "Bell Bottom Blues," originally recorded by the Eric Clapton band Derek and the Dominos.
Schultz recorded the cover in collaboration with Simone Felice, formerly of the beloved folk band The Felice Brothers.
"A chance thing happened when Simone showed me a song I had never heard, and we decided to record it," Schultz explains. "The movement, the emotion and the story all hit me at once. Here is ['Bell Bottom Blues'], captured in the moment."
The cover, which replaces Clapton's blues licks with a sparse, piano arrangement, is available for download exclusively via Amazon.
