ABC/Randy HolmesIggy Pop has shared his song "Gold," which he recorded for the forthcoming film of the same name. You can listen to the dark, spaghetti-Western-influenced track now via RollingStone.com.
Pop co-wrote "Gold" with Brian "Danger Mouse" Burton, plus Stephen Gaghan and Daniel Pemberton, the director and composer of the film Gold, respectively. The track was nominated for Best Original Song -- Motion Picture at this year's Golden Globes, but it lost out to "City of Stars" from La La Land.
The film Gold stars Matthew McConaughey as a man looking for gold in the jungles of Indonesia. It opens wide in theaters January 27.
