Image Courtesy of LollapaloozaHaving already expanded to South America with festivals in Brazil, Chile and Argentina, Lollapalooza has now set its sights on Europe. The festival has announced the inaugural Lollapalooza Berlin, which will take place September 12-13, 2015 at Tempelhof Airport.

"Lollapalooza Berlin will follow in the tradition of Lollapalooza U.S. bringing incredible music, food, art and social responsibility to a location in the heart of Berlin," reads a statement posted on the festival's website

"I'm extremely excited to finally bring Lollapalooza across the pond to Europe," adds Lollapalooza founder and Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell. "Berlin's energy, vibrant art, fashion and music scenes are a mirror reflection of what Lollapalooza is all about and I can't wait to share in this cultural exchange."

Farrell created Lollapalooza in 1991 as a touring festival. In 2005, he partnered with C3 Presents to permanently hold the festival in Chicago's Grant Park. Lollapalooza then expanded into Chile, Brazil and Argentina starting in 2011, 2012 and 2014, respectively.

All three 2015 South American Lollapaloozas will take place in March -- Chile, March 14-15; Argentina, March 21-22; and Brazil, March 28-29. Brazilian publication Destak Jornal reports that Jack White, Robert Plant, Foster the People, Kasabian, and Bastille are rumored to play the Brazil festival.

Lollapalooza USA 2015 will be held in Chicago July 31 to August 2.
