Image Group LA/ABCLorde has a rather serious image, but on her new single, it looks like she's going to do what her BFF Taylor Swift does -- "Shake It Off" -- and put on her dancing shoes.
"i am so overjoyed to finally announce that my first single, GREEN LIGHT, is coming out tomorrow at...2pm nyc," she tweeted. "i am so proud of this song. it's very different, and kinda unexpected."
"it's complex and funny and sad and joyous and it'll make you DANCE," she continued. "it's the first chapter of a story i'm gonna tell you, the story of the last 2 wild, fluorescent years of my life. this is where we begin."
Lorde said that the song and its video, directed by Grant Singer, are both being released tomorrow at 2 p.m. ET. That's 8 a.m. in her home country of New Zealand.
