Lorde, Trent Reznor, Lana Del Rey Receive Golden Globe Nominations

Andrew WhittonThe first time Trent Reznor teamed up with director David Fincher, for the movie The Social Network, the result was both a Golden Globe and an Oscar for Best Original Score.  Now, Reznor's received a Golden Globe nomination for his latest score for a Fincher movie.  Both he and musical partner Atticus Ross are nominated for the score they created for the hit Ben Affleck film, Gone Girl.

Renzor and Ross also won a Grammy for the score they did for another Fincher film, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Also nominated this year in the category of Best Original Song from a Motion Picture are Lorde, for "Yellow Flicker Beat," from the soundtrack of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay -- Part 1, and Lana Del Rey, nominated for the song "Big Eyes," from the movie of the same name.  Punk godmother Patti Smith is also nominated for "Mercy Is," a song she co-wrote for the Russell Crowe movie Noah.

The 72nd Annual Golden Globes will air January 11 on NBC, hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
