"THE Trio, left to right: Duff McKagan, Mike McCready, and Barrett Martin back in the studio cutting tracks. #duffmckagan #mikemccready #barrettmartin #madseason," writes Martin on his Facebook, beneath a photo of the three.
Mad Season was formed in 1994 by Pearl Jam guitarist McCready, Screaming Trees drummer Martin, bassist John Baker Saunders, and Alice in Chains frontman Layne Staley. The band recorded one album, Above, featuring the hit single "River of Deceit." Following Saunders' death in 1999, as well as Staley's continued ailing health, Mad Season broke up. Staley died in 2002.
Earlier this year, McCready and Barrett staged a Mad Season reunion performance in Seattle with McKagan playing bass and Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell on vocals.
