Meg Myers' single "Sorry" isn't the happiest of songs, so it makes sense that it's video wouldn't be all that happy, either. The clip, which you can watch at RollingStone.com, features Myers smashing up a house with a baseball bat between flashbacks of kids playing in the house.
"When I wrote 'Sorry,' the original meaning was based on a romantic relationship," Myers tells Rolling Stone. "I think the video actually gives the song a deeper meaning than it originally had. I didn't want to do the whole love interest thing for the video because it felt cliché."
"I think it's important for young girls to see videos that aren't just centered around a love interest, when we're all such complex people," she adds. "Plus, just having people my age would be boring."
Myers will release her debut full-length album this summer. In the meantime, she will be touring North American through the end of June, including a stop at Summerfest in Milwaukee.
