Patrick Carney and Brian Fallon will be searching for a heart of gold at the inaugural Neil Fest, a tribute event held in honor of Neil Young. The Black Keys drummer and The Gaslight Anthem frontman will be performing classic Young tunes during the two-day event, which will be held in New York City.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Nick Zinner, Ryan Adams, Kim Gordon's Body/Head and Guster's Ryan Miller are also among the artists to pay tribute to Young at Neil Fest.
Proceeds from Neil Fest will benefit the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, a charity that provides assistance to career musicians. The event is organized by The Best Fest, which previously has staged tribute concerts to Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and The Rolling Stones.
Neil Fest will be held September 13-14 at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City. Visit TheBestFest.com/Neil-Fest for the full lineup and ticket info.
