Image Courtesy of BB Gun PressThroughout the year, various members of Metallica have intimated the legendary metal band had begun recording their new album, Now James Hetfield has finally confirmed the rumors.
"We are recording right now," Hetlfield says in a video for guitar pickup company EMG.
Back in March, drummer Lars Ulrich told Rolling Stone the "creative elements are getting close to being done" for the new album. A month later, bassist Robert Trujillo told the magazine the album will "sound heavy."
Metallica's last album was 2008's Death Magnetic.
