ABC/Randy HolmesMetallica guitarist Kirk Hammett has apparently found two new sources of inspiration: Thom Yorke and St. Vincent.
On his Instagram, Hammett posted photos of the covers of the Radiohead frontman's Suspiria soundtrack and St. Vincent's 2017 album MASSEDUCTION, along with the caption, "My fave albums this month."
"Inspiration for my next solo composition perhaps?" he added.
As for what that "solo composition" refers to, Hammett explained that he's working on a musical "companion" piece to his upcoming exhibit in Toronto, It's Alive!, which will showcase his personal collection of horror and sci-fi art.
"Not an album and Not Metallica related," he said of the new music.
If you want to hear Hammett's possible St. Yorke-influenced composition, the exhibit will open in Toronto's Royal Ontario Museum in July.
