Credit: Danny ClinchMuse's "Dead Inside" and Breaking Benjamin's "Failure" have hit number one on Billboard's Alternative Songs and Mainstream Rock Songs charts, respectively. "Dead Inside" overtakes AWOLNATION's "Hollow Moon (Bad Wolf)," while "Failure" leapfrogs "Heavy Is the Head," Chris Cornell's collaboration with country group Zac Brown Band.
"Dead Inside" is the lead single from Muse's forthcoming album, Drones. Muse has now topped Alternative Songs with singles from three straight albums: "Dead Inside" from Drones, "Uprising" from The Resistance and "Madness" from The 2nd Law. Drones will be released on June 9.
"Failure" is Breaking Benjamin's first new song in six years. The track will appear on the band's forthcoming album Dark Before Dawn, its first since 2009's Dear Agony. Dark Before Dawn will be released on June 23.
