Muse Premieres New Song, “Psycho”

Credit: Danny ClinchMuse has revealed "Psycho," a new track from their forthcoming album, Drones. "Psycho" isn't as musically elaborate as some of the band's more recent tracks, taking a more meat-and-potatoes rock approach, but it's still unmistakably Muse. You can listen to "Psycho," which is cut with clips of a yelling drill sergeant, now on YouTube.

Drones is Muse's first album since 2012's Grammy-nominated The 2nd Law. The album's first official single, "Dead Inside," will debut the week of March 23.

"To me, Drones are metaphorical psychopaths which enable psychopathic behavior with no recourse," says frontman Matt Bellamy of the forthcoming album. "The world is run by Drones utilizing Drones to turn us all into Drones. This album explores the journey of a human, from their abandonment and loss of hope, to their indoctrination by the system to be a human drone, to their eventual defection from their oppressors."

Drones will be released on June 9.
