Credit: Danny ClinchThe new trailer for the forthcoming Batman: Arkham Knight video game comes with an extra dose of the operatic thanks to Muse's "Mercy." The band's latest single blasts into the clip, which you can watch now on YouTube, after an ominous voice over claims "This is how the Batman died."
The last Arkham Knight trailer featured Nine Inch Nails' "The Wretched," and frontman Trent Reznor is credited as a "music consultant" on the game. Reznor previously wrote the theme song for the video game Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
"Mercy" is a single from Muse's latest album, Drones, which is expected to be headed for a number-one debut on the Billboard 200. If the prediction holds true, Drones will become Muse's first number-one album.
Batman: Arkham Knight will be released on June 23.
