Credit: Felisha TolentinoA Billie Joe Armstrong musical is once again making its way to New York City. The Green Day frontman has written songs for These Paper Bullets!, which will make its NYC debut as part of the 30th anniversary season of the off-Broadway Atlantic Theater Company. The musical is an update of William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing.
Armstrong is of course familiar to the New York theater scene, as Green Day's 2004 album American Idiot! was adapted into a Broadway musical of the same name.
In other non-Green Day related news, Armstrong is currently starring in the film Like Sunday, Like Rain alongside Leigthon Meester. Armstrong plays Meester's slacking rocker boyfriend.
These Paper Bullets! will run at New York's Linda Gross Theater in November and December.
