Credit: Michael MullerNickelback frontman Chad Kroeger's mystery studio session with pop group One Direction has finally been explained.
Kroeger revealed the story behind an Instagram photo which showed the Canadian rocker hanging with 1D members Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne.
"They asked if I was gonna be in town and if I would like to come down to the studio and come up with some ideas on a song, just do a little songwriting," he told ET Canada. “I was very flattered. I'm like, 'Wow, the biggest band in the world wants me to come down and spit out a couple ideas.'”
The photo of the unexpected collaboration was posted last week by studio engineer Robin Diaz, former drummer for the band Daughtry.
Now we’re just curious what a One Direction/Nickelback song sounds like.
