No Doubt’s Adrian Young Says 2015 Is “About Playing Festivals”

Interscope RecordsNo Doubt will be an active participant on the festival circuit this summer, including headlining spots at Rock in Rio USA, New Orleans JazzFest, and the BottleRock Festival. Though a full-scale tour isn't on their summer schedule, any live dates at all are a welcome sight for No Doubt fans after the band postponed their 2013 tour.

"This year is about playing festivals and then we'll see where that takes us," drummer Adrian Young tells Billboard of No Doubt's 2015 plans. "There was some experimenting going on, but [frontwoman] Gwen [Stefani is] gonna do another solo record and we're gonna continue to play some more live shows and see what happens from there."

No Doubt took 11 years between releasing their 2001 album, Rock Steady, and their most recent effort, 2012's Push and Shove. As for how long it might take the band to put out another record, Young admits that "it's hard to say."

"We don't have any immediate plans for new music," he says.

Meanwhile, No Doubt is festival-hopping with their large, extended family, which now includes 10 children between the band's four core members.

"It's almost like we're siblings and they're cousins," says guitarist Tom Dumont of the band touring with their children in tow. "They all play together. They all have their own relationships and dynamics together."
