Noel Gallagher: “I sincerely hope” Oasis is not reuniting

Lloyd Bishop/NBCIn case you needed one more nail in the coffin that is the dream of an Oasis reunion, Noel Gallagher is here for you.

During an interview on NBC's Late Night Tuesday, host Seth Meyers asked Noel if he and his estranged brother Liam Gallagher might be thinking about getting the ol' band back together. In response, Noel simply said, "No."

"I sincerely hope not," he later added.

Noel's comments follow a recent feature in The Guardian, in which he says -- or, possibly jokes, who knows? -- that he liked his mother "until she gave birth to Liam."

In addition to beating the dead Oasis horse, Noel and his band, High Flying Birds, will hit the road on a U.S. tour alongside The Smashing Pumpkins starting Thursday in Camden, New Jersey. Additionally, he's releasing a new EP called This Is the Place September 27.

Meanwhile, Liam will release his sophomore solo album, Why Me? Why Not., on September 20.
