ABC/Fred LeePanic! at the Disco had a big night at the MTV Europe Music Awards, held Sunday in Bilbao, Spain.
In addition to winning the Best Alternative award over Twenty One Pilots, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Fall Out Boy and The 1975, Brendon Urie and company played their Pray for the Wicked single "High Hopes" during the show. In a nod to the "High Hopes" video, the performance started with a harness-wearing Urie walking on the side of a building before he was lowered into the arena.
Other performances during the show included Muse, who played their Simulation Theory single "Pressure," and Bastille, who teamed up with DJ Marshmello for their collaborative single, "Happier."
Muse was also up for the Best Rock prize, but they, along with Foo Fighters, Imagine Dragons and U2, lost out to 5 Seconds of Summer.
