Credit: Dave JacksonWhen Jerry Horton isn't shredding on stage, the Papa Roach guitarist -- and car-aficionado -- is shredding the streets in his custom 1951 Mercury. Horton will talk about his passion for automobiles on an upcoming episode of the car-culture show AmeriCARna.
"Growing up, my dad got me into cars. He had VW's that he drag-raced and he did some autocross," Horton tells host Ray Evernham in a clip from the episode. "Seeing movies like American Graffiti that featured hot rods and customs really just guided my eye to it."
Horton's episode of AmeriCARna will air March 24 at 10 p.m. ET on Vertigo.
Meanwhile, Papa Roach is gearing up for their spring tour, which will kick off April 25 at the Fort Rock festival in Ft. Meyers, Florida. The band will be touring North America, including dates with Godsmack and We Are Harlot, through the end of May.
