Papa Roach Raising Awareness of Make-a-Wish Foundation with Breaking Boundryz

Image Courtesy of Dave JacksonWhen Mark Guerra was a senior in high school, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Through the Make-a-Wish Foundation, Guerra was given the opportunity to meet and record an album with his favorite band, Papa Roach. Now, Guerra's band, Breaking Boundryz, will release their first EP via Papa Roach's label, Eleven Seven Music.

Breaking Boundryz's EP will be released on January 27 -- the same day as Papa Roach's forthcoming album, F.E.A.R. Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix thinks the title of his band's new album, which stands for "Face Everything and Rise," applies particularly to Guerra's fight.

"Looking back on the Make-a-Wish experience we realized that Mark really embodies the concept of Face Everything and Rise," Shaddix says in a statement. "He is a great example for kids and families dealing with life-threatening illness. He never gave up...his attitude is amazing!"

Proceeds from the sales of the Breaking Boundryz EP will be donated to Make-a-Wish.

Papa Roach is currently on tour with Seether through February 7 in Las Vegas.
