Papa Roach’s “Face Everything and Rise” Grabs Number One on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Songs

Credit: Dave JacksonPapa Roach's track "Face Everything and Rise" has indeed risen. The single off of the band's most recent album, F.E.A.R., has grabbed the number-one spot on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs chart.

Despite notching 13 top-10 hits on Mainstream Rock Songs, "Face Everything and Rise" is only Papa Roach's second number-one hit on the chart. Their last single to reach the top of the chart was 2009's "Lifeline."

In other rock charting news, Hozier's "Someone New" re-enters Hot Rock Songs at 14 following the debut of the track's video, which stars Game of Thrones actress Natalie Dormer. "Someone New" previously peaked at 42 last December.

Meanwhile, church is still in session for Hozier's "Take Me to Church," which retains the number-one spot on Hot Rock Songs for the 21st straight week. That streak is second only to that tallied by Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive," which topped the chart for 23 weeks.

As for the most unusual rock charting appearance for this week, DragonForce's legendary "Through the Fire and the Flames" has been resurrected thanks to a viral video of 15-year-old guitar virtuoso Tina S. performing the track. "Through the Fire," which is perhaps best know as the song that mercilessly tests the wills -- and finger strength -- of Guitar Hero players, comes in at number 13 on Hot Rock Songs.
