ABC/Randy HolmesAnother '90s alt-rock icon has joined the lineup for this Wednesday's Chris Cornell tribute show: Perry Farrell.
The Jane's Addiction frontman's wife first announced the news on her Instagram, and Perry himself confirmed it on his Twitter. He also hinted that Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler would be playing in the show, which is taking place at the Forum in Los Angeles.
"What a trip it was to walk into rehearsal with [Audioslave's] Tom Morello and Brad Wilk for The Forum show...and find Geezer Butler playing bass," Farrell wrote, though Butler's participation has yet to be officially confirmed.
Meanwhile, acclaimed session drummer Josh Freese, who's played with Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle and Guns N' Roses, has announced he'll be performing at the concert. Melvins will also be part of the lineup.
As previously reported, the show's bill includes Foo Fighters, Metallica, Faith No More's Mike Patton and Ryan Adams, as well as members of Audioslave, Soundgarden and Temple of the Dog.
