Puscifer Debuts New Song, “Money Shot”

Credit: Tim CadientePuscifer, Tool frontman Maynard James Kennan's electro-tinged side project, has released the title track from their forthcoming album, Money Shot. The song features Puscifer's trademark sense of humor cut with aggressive, distorted riffs. You can listen to "Money Shot" now on RollingStone.com.

In support of Money Shot, Puscifer will be touring this fall, starting with their set at the Monster Mash Music Festival in Tempe, Arizona on November 1.

"With Puscifer, we realize that the digital age is just endless possibilities, and nothing is written in stone," Keenan tells Rolling Stone of the tour. "So whatever stage show we start off with on this tour, it might change and go in a complete opposite way."

"We've built an audience that, for the most part, is open enough to whatever we present them," he continues. "They'll go, 'That was awesome,' even if it's something like us playing AC/DC covers for the entire show."

Keenan also will be playing with Tool at Monster Mash -- the band will headline the festival Halloween night. Tool has said that they are currently working on their long-awaited follow-up to their 2006 album, 10,000 Days, although they haven't revealed much about the record.

"I write lyrics and melodies to music," Keenan says when asked about the new Tool album. "If I don't have music, I can't."
