Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood pays tribute to Bob Einstein; used late comedian’s “Curb” character name to check into hotels

Rene Johnston/Toronto Star via Getty ImagesRadiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood has shared a tribute to late comedian Bob Einstein, who died Wednesday at age 76. Apparently, Greenwood used the name of Einstein's character on Curb Your Enthusiasm, Marty Funkhouser, as a pseudonym when he'd check into hotels while on tour.

"So sad to hear this. He was amazing in Curb," Greenwood tweeted. "I was Marty Funkhouser on the last two Radiohead tours in tribute to his beautifully pitched performance. So subtle. And to think it was all improvised."

In case you didn't believe him, Greenwood also shared a photo of a letter addressed to "Mr. Marty Funkhouser" and written by the staff of the Park Hyatt Chicago, thanking him for his stay.

Einstein, the older brother of actor Albert Brooks, was also known for his Super Dave Osborne daredevil character.
