Courtney Love has landed another TV role. The Hole singer and widow of Kurt Cobain reportedly will play the mother of Lyle and Erik Menendez, who were sentenced to life without parole in 1989 for killing their parents, in a TV movie for the Lifetime network.
Variety reports that Love has been cast as Kitty Menendez in the movie about the brothers whose case became a national sensation. They claimed at trial that the murders resulted from a lifetime of sexual abuse by their father. Earlier this month ABC ran a two-hour special about the Menendez case.
In recent years Love has appeared on Empire, Sons of Anarchy and Revenge, and reportedly is working on several film roles. Although she did cut a song for Empire as part of her role on that show, her last solo music release was the 2015 single "Miss Narcissist."
