Report: Scott Stapp Joins VH1’s “Couples Therapy”

Image Courtesy Wind-up RecordsScott Stapp and his wife Jaclyn have signed on for the sixth season of VH1's relationship counseling reality show, Couples Therapy, People reports. The former Creed frontman is working on his relationship with his wife following a bizarre few months for the singer, beginning last November when Stapp posted a series of videos claiming he'd been robbed of all of his money.

In an interview with People earlier this month, Stapp explained that episode and others by revealing he'd experienced "a psychotic break that was brought on by alcohol and drug abuse" and that he had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

"I was hallucinating," Stapp said. "I drove around the United States for a month, following an angel that I saw on the hood of my car."

Stapp says he's now sober and in intensive therapy, and that Jaclyn has helped him cope with his diagnosis.

"Jaclyn kept telling me, 'Embrace it. We love you.' It became a big sign of relief, because finally, we had an answer," he said."

The sixth season of Couples Therapy will premiere this fall.
