Rock in Rio, now in its 30th year, was previously just a European and South American affair, having been hosted in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Libson, Portugal; and Madrid, Spain. 2015's Rock in Rio USA will mark the festival's inaugural North American edition. The festival will be held in Las Vegas on May 8, 9, 15 and 16 in a purpose-built concert venue called City of Rock, which will feature six stages, three themed "Rock Streets" that highlight the culture and music of the U.S., U.K. and Brazil and a 64-foot-high zip line.
